21st Century Learning Tools
Innovative learning tools assist teachers in delivering 21st century instruction. These tools address a number of learning goals, including the following:

  • Establishing a culture of data
  • Making instructional decisions based on real-time data
  • Enabling collaboration among teachers
  • Solving instructional problems (e.g., differentiating instruction)
  • Engaging all learners
  • ​Supporting students with specials learning needs
  • Alleviating the need for extensive teacher time spent on scoring assessments
  • ​Allowing the teacher to become mobile in the classroom (circulating to groups and individuals) rather than limited to the front of the room
  • ​Increasing access to up-to-date print, audio, and visual resources, rather than outdated, textbook references
  • Connecting students to authentic applications of knowledge
